At home, where your pet feels safest
There is no car journey and no waiting room. Your pet stays in their own surroundings, on their own bed or in a favourite spot, with the people who love them close by.
Unhurried time together
We allow about an hour for the appointment, so there is time to talk things through beforehand, to sit quietly together, and to say goodbye in your own time.
Who can be there
Family members are welcome to be present. Other pets in the household are welcome too, if that feels right for your family.
Gentle sedation
Gentle sedation is offered before the procedure, so your pet can settle and rest comfortably. Your vet will talk you through it and answer anything you would like to ask.
The fee
Compassionate euthanasia at home is R1,650, all-inclusive: the home visit and travel, the procedure itself, euthanasia medication, standard consumables and sedation where clinically required. Cremation and other aftercare choices are charged in addition, and the cost is always shown to you before anything is confirmed. Options that return your pet's ashes include delivery of the ashes to your nominated address in the option price.
Aftercare is your choice
Nothing is decided for you. When you are ready, you can choose from:
- Private cremation with your pet's ashes returned to you
- Communal cremation
- Home burial
- Deciding later, with your vet, on the day
